Located at the entrance of the Loire Valley, esteemed by UNESCO for its châteaux, vineyards, and profound historical, astronomical, and cultural legacy, this serene country chateau provides a sanctuary of tranquility amidst flourishing flora and fauna, with waterfowl gracefully traversing its idyllic pond set amidst pastoral surroundings. Conveniently situated within easy reach of Paris.
The Château, spanning an area of 827 square meters, is structured around a central pavilion and two wings, oriented to the northwest and southeast, comprising:
Ground Floor:
A luminous reception area adorned with limestone flooring, leading to a corridor featuring a washbasin and two lavatories. To the left, leading towards the northwest wing, lies an entrance hall and a sitting room with stone flooring, alongside lavatory facilities. Further, a living room boasting a lofty 3.75-meter ceiling and a fireplace, seamlessly flowing into a well-appointed modern kitchen and an adjoining utility room. To the right, toward the southeast wing, a secondary entrance hall with stone flooring and lavatory facilities. Additionally, a sitting room and an expansive, sunlit sitting area boasting a south-facing fireplace and the same limestone flooring. A generously sized, east-facing kitchen connects to the sitting room and corridor.
First Floor:
A corridor leads to three bedrooms, each featuring a corridor and wash-hand basin. Towards the northwest wing, accessed via a winding wooden staircase, is a study on the upper level, accompanied by a landing with oak parquet flooring, lavatory facilities, a bedroom with a dressing room and adjacent lavatory, a bathroom, and two bedrooms with en-suite shower facilities and lavatories.
Towards the southeast wing, accessed by a winding oak staircase, lies a landing, corridor, hallway, a luminous bedroom at the southern end with an attached bathroom, a bedroom, lavatory, and a bedroom with en-suite shower facilities.
Second Floor:
Towards the end of the northwest wing, a landing leads to a charming bedroom nestled under the rafters, accompanied by a shower room and lavatory. Adjacent to the south wing, a sizable set of rooms offers potential for conversion.
Outbuildings:
In the northwest extension, a storage area and boiler room, with an additional shed and partially submerged wine cellar in a second extension. Dating back to the 19th century, the outbuildings are positioned perpendicular to the west of the Château, providing 250 square meters of functional space:
On the ground floor, three offices and a section of the outbuildings, including a former chapel.
First floor: An attic dining room, lavatory, archive room, and attic space.
Additionally, the property features a greenhouse constructed of masonry with a sturdy metal frame and well-maintained glazing, as well as a timber-framed hangar spanning 102 square meters. A wash-house stands adjacent to the pond, while an old tennis court, albeit in a state of disrepair, is also present.
The approximately 17-acre parkland comprises roughly 6 acres of woodland, 8 acres of lawn, and a 2-acre pond. The meticulously landscaped English-style gardens showcase lime, oak, and cedar pine trees, enveloped by a walled perimeter, save for the eastern boundary which adjoins the neighbor's 74 acres of woodland. The grounds often host deer, while the pond is fed by the Mauves river, meandering gracefully through the estate.
