This charming property, discreetly located at the gateway to a picturesque village, is situated on the border of the Beaugeois and Loire Valley regions in a beautiful natural and green area.
The origins of the priory date back to the 11th century, when Foulques le Rechin, heir to the Count of Anjou, had a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary built. In the second half of the 11th century, he gave it to the monks of the Saint-Serge abbey, along with the annexed buildings. It was they who built the priory. At the time, these monks lived off the vine. The wine was sold on feast days, from Easter to Pentecost, from mid-August to 8 September. This place quickly became a place of pilgrimage, particularly in the Middle Ages, for pilgrims who went to the sanctuary of Notre-Dame- l'Angevine and the tombs of Saint-Martin de Tours. In the 15th century, King René is said to have stopped here to pray to Our Lady. In 1772, the ecclesiastical vocation of the priory came to an end and it was later used as a guest house before being bought by a private individual who gave it a residential vocation.

Built of stone and slate over three levels of approx. 200sqm , this former priory is distributed as follows:
On the ground floor (ceiling height: 3 m): entrance hall, terracotta floor, exposed beams, dining room with wood-burning fireplace, living room, 2 offices, kitchen, utility room, separate WC,

First floor: 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms with wc, gym, dressing room,
Second floor: 3 bedrooms with bathrooms or shower room, kitchenette, living room, billiard room, storage room.
The whole for 600sqm approximately.
