If you are looking to buy a French Property but
you do not know precisely where you want to be or what type of house
you wish to buy and you want to get an idea of what is available
- the Entire Site Portfolio is
designed with precisely this in mind. The search page enables you
to select properties by region or department, and choose a price
range, number of bedrooms and preferred hectares. The search can
be as detailed or simple as you like. An additional 'special features'
field allows you to select one or two from a long list of items
which appear on many applicants' wish lists, e.g. pool, sea view,
tennis court, outbuildings, gites, and so on. Properties are listed
in date order to facilitate viewing for regular browers, but they
can alternatively be sorted by price. Prices are displayed in Euros
with an equivalent guide price in pounds sterling and US dollars.

Whilst specific property types are
featured in the other three portfolios, the Entire Site Portfolio
as its name suggests, features all the properties from the Chateaux,
Belles Demeures and Commercial sections as well as the other types
of properties on our books. In addition we generally have one or
two properties on our books which are not featured on the site for
various reasons but which can be sent out, should they match an
applicant's criteria.
This is one very good reason why it is important to give us as much
guidance as possible as to your requirements, to give us the best
possible chance of helping you to find your dream home in France.
Equally important is a mobile phone number for us to pass on to
the agents before you travel and to notify us of any changes in
your e mail address that may occur so we do not lose touch with
you.

The network of agents with whom we
collaborate in France is constantly expanding. We only work with
licenced French agents or ' immobiliers' with their 'carte professionelle'
and we operate on a 'shared commission' basis. This means that using
the services provided by Sifex incurs no additional costs for you
as the purchaser. We advertise and promote the properties we receive
from our colleagues in France and make appointments with them to
show their properties after we have had in depth discussions as
to what you are seeking in order to ensure that your time spent
in France is productive. We do our very best to avoid the frustrations
of wasted trips to unsuitable properties. We are able to offer an
unbiased overview of what is available, offer you the benefit of
our advice on the buying process and which areas are most likely
to satisfy your requirements and arrange viewing trips with a variety
of different agencies in France, - all at no extra cost.

Please be aware that it is not usual
for French estate agents to reveal the precise location of properties.
Occasionally may agree to subject to you signing a confidentiality
agreement or ‘engagement de confidentialité’ in
which you acknowledge that they have disclosed this information
to you. They are in any event required by the vendors to know the
identity of interested purchasers and their circumstances. More
frequently agents will give an indication of where the property
is if we ask, provided we have already got the full contact details
and criteria of the person who is enquiring and can register their
interest with agent..

The most important factors for us
to be aware of when you are booking a trip is your departure date
from the UK, how we can contact you when you are in France, whether
you will have access to e mails, your mobile phone number and whether
it is set up to take messages in France, where you will be based
and on what date you will be returning to the UK. Properties are
occasionally sold or may come back on the market whilst you are
in transit, arrangements may alter or we may have some other information
to pass on to you from an agent with whom you have been visiting.
It is equally important in case you or the agent are delayed and
the meeting place is at some pre-determined place in the French
countryside.
